A few miles down a country road from
where I grew up springs new life of an Amish community. And in what better
place than where expansive farmland and turn of the century farmhouses can be
purchased relatively cheap. Yank out the electrical wires, slap a pump on the
well and you’re that much closer to planting seed for harvest time.
In the last 10 years, the community has grown significantly
and more and more folks I know have begun taking interest in the simple, yet
satisfying way of life. Self-sufficiency is something to be praised at this day
in age. Here are a few snap shots:
