October 5, 2012 - The worldwide celebration of Plaid
Rules of Plaidurday celebration are quite simple - wear your favorite plaid shirt. Should you find yourself one of the few unlucky souls without proper attire - check out one of the fine retailers below.
Eh. I've got a suspicion that if you really wear plaid, I mean like pre-Hipster faux lumberjacking wear plaid, like pre-Nirvana flannel shirt wearing wear plaid, then you don't really need to celebrate it in some made up day, because every day is plaid wearing day.
Now that would make a good feature a la "the burning house" but with plaid shirts...I've got old LLBean flannels I've had since high school (early 1990's) threadbare by this point and essentially irreplaceable given the flannels they make now, madras for the summer, pendletons for winter and all shades in between...though I've been starting to step into the aloha shirt territory for the warmer months, I don't think I'll ever give up my plaid addiction.
Well, that's a pretty cool idea, but I think I would need another one of myself to take on another project! Between work, and my personal life - I feel like I already neglect Backwoods Plaid enough! Take care.
