Building a Log Home

I'm at the point where becoming a homeowner isn't far down the road and I would like to build a log cabin. There is a rustic heritage of log cabins. Log homes combine an affinity for the outdoors with simple down-home American living. Here are some photos I've saved for inspiration for the design. Apologies for the image qualities.
